Wild Colonials began at Cafe Largo in Los Angeles when singer Angela
McCluskey was on holiday from Scotland and met up with a guitarist
named Shark. Paul Cantelon flew in from London long before anyone
had even thought about a drummer. The then-nameless band's first
gig was an Irish wake. With each member originally hailing from
a different spot on the globe, their instrumentation and arrangements
are the definition of eclectic, defying easy categorization in the
realm of modern pop music.
