"...(Joe Jackson) is the first of the British postpunks to  show an interest in bridging the gap between pop music  and serious music."

 - Rolling Stone Magazine, May 1984

Great Big Island offers up a superb 65-minute CD recorded April 2001 in Seattle and Portland, mixed by Joe and Sheldon Steiger, featuring Joe's best-ever touring band and a mix of old songs (including a few radical reinterpretations, 'Is She Really Going Out With Him' and 'Got The Time', and a revelatory performance of the neglected 'Target' from 'Night and Day') and dynamic live versions of songs from the recent NIGHT AND DAY II (including Allison Cornell's performance of 'Glamour and Pain').
