I met Ustad Sultan Khan several
years ago and we became great friends. The first time we played
together was in his cousins Umra and Tahira’s living
room after a wonderful Indian dinner. For me, it was a magical
experience as he plays with so much love, grace and virtuosity.
We decided to make a record after performing together and
loving it. We composed all of the melodies and the rest is
pure improvisation. In creating this music Sultan said that
we received a “dua” – a blessing. We want
